Loddon Farm Advice Project

Catchment Sensitive Farming – Good for Business, Good for the Environment

The Loddon and Eversley Partnership has been awarded financial support under the England Catchment Sensitive Farming Delivery Initiative (ECSFDI) in order to establish a free service known as the Loddon Farm Advice Project.

The Loddon Farm Advice Project will be able to assist with:

  • The preparation of soil, manure and nutrient management plans to help you save money.
  • One to one visits on request.
  • Practical workshops.
  • ELS and HLS applications.

We are also looking for a farm willing to act as demonstration farm for good practice.

The project will support and work with farmers as they meet the new challenges under the Water Framework Directive.

We are delighted that Seumas Foster of Cropfosters Ltd, and a member of Independent Crop Consultants, is working with us on the project. Seumas has considerable experience in this arena, having been very involved with the successful Test & Itchen Landcare Project. Each month, Seumas will be preparing notes that provide timely advice and hints to assist with meeting Cross Compliance.

The project is funded until March 2008. To benefit, contact us now on 01256 381186 or by email Alisonc@hwt.org.uk
