Education

Changes in the economy mean that fewer people make their living from the land and consequently the gap between rural and urban communities has widened. In addition, many traditonal skills vital to the character of our landscape and to achieving conservation practices, such as coppicing and pollarding of trees, have been lost.

The Loddon and Eversley Partnership aims to develop a wider knowledge and understanding of rural issues among people visiting  or living in the area, through promoting the work of those involved in providing environmental education. Visit the Things To Do pages to find out more about walks, talks and events contributing to this aim, or click on the button on the left for details of courses in your area.
